I want to personally welcome you and thank you for choosing to be here and saying yes to Aligned, a different kind of movie. It's an honor and privilege to connect with you.

Whatever brought you here, I honor you. You made an incredible decision.

Let me share some sobering facts with you.

​

• Two-thirds of LGBTQ+ people recently reported experiencing anxiety and depression.

• This is roughly twice the reported incidence in the general population, according to the National Institutes of Health.

• Six out of ten face discrimination. Nearly 40% have seriously considered suicide. As positive role models are lacking in mainstream media, many queer youth are left navigating their deepest needs in a landscape that rarely reflects the love, softness, and vulnerability they deserve.

Emotionally authentic stories like Aligned are needed to support our youth. 

​

You may be surprised to hear that Aligned wasn't easy to make. I faced deep personal challenges, moments where I was paralyzed by fear, stuck in self-sabotage, and overwhelmed by emotions I didn't yet know how to hold. I never imagined this film would one day win awards or that I’d be invited to speak at conferences around the world. But here we are. What once felt like an impossible challenge became the catalyst for one of my most meaningful achievements while also accelerating my personal growth and coaching practice.
